Virtual Backpacks and Newsfeeds

In addition to visiting the website daily to check for new notices and documents, families have the option of subscribing to either an RSS feed or email distribution. News and Notes, Today @ GES, Today @ SMS, and Virtual Backapcks are all available as separate feeds or messages.

E-Mail Delivery

To subscribe for email notification simply click the icon and enter your email address. Email notification is sent once daily between 11am and 1pm. This single message will include all notices posted that day to a specific feed.

RSS Feed

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, which is an internet based technology that allows the distribution of Web content through an RSS reader (also referred to as a news reader or aggregator). There are many different RSS readers available: several browsers have built in readers, search engines Google and Yahoo! offer free RSS readers on their websites. Other companies have RSS readers that require you to download a browser plug-in or a stand alone application that must be installed on your computer. Content delivered through RSS is available almost immediately after being posted.
